Proper handling of hazardous chemicals and waste management can drastically reduce the company risk for better corporate reputation and possible of loss of revenue. People deal with those hazards is the key-success factor for implementation of such handling and management system.

This course will present the philosophy of hazardous chemicals and waste management, including the feasibility investigation for implementation in the company:

  • Give knowledge of fundamental hazardous chemicals & waste management and possible on-site minimization of effort from technical & economical point of view as part of cleaner production implementation

  • Give a specific capability to analyze, evaluate, optimize, improve and/or change of the existing chemical handling & waste management

  • Improve knowledge & technical capability on waste minimization & recycling; alternative treatments and disposal

  • Improve the capability to identify the hazards and risk problem, necessary treatment & the environmental impact; including the emergency response preparedness

  • Recognize the Policy, Regulation, Law and Permits regarding Hazardous Chemicals and Waste Management; in line with Environmental Rating Classification by Environmental Ministry (PROPER KLH).
